RAPID PROTOTYPING

Rapid Prototyping is an innovative technology that makes it possible to produce, in just a few hours, objects with complex geometry, directly from the mathematical model of the object produced on a 3D CAD system (STL).

The product model (prototype) allows the manufacturer requesting it to examine the geometry, shapes and all the other features necessary to evaluate the feasibility and adequacy of the finished product, before organizing and planning production.

Topp furnishes services of rapid prototyping, stereolithography, sinterization, 3D jet printing and production of molds in silicone, studying and developing innovative materials to obtain prototypes of excellent surface quality, with good reproduction of the details and functional features similar to those of the final material.

SELECTIVE LASER SINTERIZING

By means of SLS technologies by 3D System, sections with specific geometries are reproduced by a laser beam on thin layers of powdered material. The unsinterized powder acts as a support and serves to produce parts without limits of complexity.

This is a rapid prototyping system that uses jet printing of photopolymers that, by depositing the resin in 16 micron layers, can produce 3D models and prototypes at very high resolution.

REVERSE ENGINEERING

Our scanners allow to make tridimensional digitalizations of real objects and of all those applications that ask for high technical and artistic precision. We assure rapid and accurate controls on all surfaces using scanners tested according to the VDI regulation combined with the high calibration accuracy of the AICON photogrammetry systems.

Based on CT (Computerized tomography) or MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) scans of the patient, our software can reproduce an accurate 3D reconstruction of the patient’s images.
Once the virtual model has been defined, we start with the creation of the physical part using our 3D Object rapid prototyping machine.
The fabricated solid prototype reproduces patients anatomy accurately and faithfully giving the surgeon a better understanding of the examined case report as to plan the surgery in the best possible way.
